Differences among patients with different stages of CKD were compared with a one-way ANOVA and a Bonferroni post-hoc comparison for age, a Kruskall Wallis test with Mann–Whitney U test for pair-wise comparison of other not normally distributed continuous data; and Pearson’s Chi-square test for sex.
