Cells were exposed to high and low concentrations of steroids for 1, 2 or 7 days followed by addition of varying concentration of Stx-1 for 72 hr. Cell survival was determined at the end of the experiment. % survival refers to percent of cells surviving after exposure to Stx-1 ± steroids. N = 9 each data point.
