Expression of H3K4 me3 and cathepsin L and the determination of H3K4 me3 level on the promoter region of cathepsin L in the LPS model. Histone H3K4 me3 levels (a) and cathepsin L (b) levels were significantly higher in LPS-treated mice than in the controls (vehicle alone) as determined by a Western blot analysis. A chromatin-immunoprecipitation assay demonstrated that the amount of H3K4 me3 at the cathepsin L promoter was significantly higher in the LPS-treated mice than in the controls (vehicle alone) (c). *P < 0.05 vs. Veh.
