The CKD-EPI systematically underestimates the aGFR especially at higher values. The new equation distributes error over a wider range of means but also underestimates the aGFR slightly. The mean aGFR was 130.45 ± 40.47 ml/min/1.73m2. The mean GFR using the new estimating equations was 126.25 ml/min/1.73m2 whereas the mean aGFR using the CKDEPI equation was 104.73 ± 17.75 ml/min/m2
