Changes in venous blood gases after initiation of peritoneal dialysis. The serum bicarbonate level at the start of PD in July 2015 was 20 mmol/L. This value increased to 25–30 mmol/L with the change in PD fluid protocol. Venous blood PCO₂ increased with the start of PD.
