SOM analysis results. a The 7 × 7 grid structure was chosen for SOM output to enhance interpretability. The results of SOM were visualized as a colored grid panel with blue hexagons and similarity color between the hexagons. We defined the hexagon as a ‘module,’ and all genes included in each module showed a similar expression pattern.
