Non-Necrotizing Granulomatous Interstitial Nephritis. a Granulomatous interstitial nephritis with interstitial infiltration by mononuclear cells and noncaseating granulomas with multinucleated giant cells (arrows) (hematoxylin and eosin and PAS, both original magnification × 200), with negative Ziehl-Neelsen and Grocott stains (not shown). We performed immunohistochemistry for CD45, CD3 (b), CD4, CD8, CD20, CD68, CD138 and CD31. The interstitium is affected by a mixed cellular inflammatory infiltrate. CD3 T lymphocytes are the most represented elements, with CD4 and CD8 positive subpopulation, B lymphocytes in minority part, various plasma cells, histiocytes, plurinuclear giant cells and some granulocytes neutrophils
