Roscovitine decreases proliferation and increases p21 with no effect on apoptosis. MDCK cells were seeded 24 h before treatment. Roscovitine (at the concentrations indicated) was added to the cells for 24 h and then the cells were harvested and subjected to the MTT assay as described in Materials and Methods.
