Effect of β2-M treatment on the morphology of HK-2 cells. HK-2 cells were grown in 6-well plates to 80% confluence, and then, control medium (A), β₂-M (B), TGF-β₁(C), HSA (D), or β₂-M + TGF-β₁ mAb (E) was added for 72 h. The cells were photographed using a JVC KY-FSSBE digital camera coupled to a Nikon TMS microscope. For each group, 80 cells were measured.
