Regulation of gene expression by BAFF in human mesangial cells. Human mesangial cells were subjected to serum starvation for 6 h and then BAFF treatment for 30 min, 6 h or 48 h. The mRNA levels of VEGFA, PDGF-B, TGF-β1, IL-6, IL-1β, IP-10, α-SMA, TIMP-1, Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, Bim and BAFF-R were measured by real-time PCR. This experiment was repeated independently at least three times and representative data are shown. *p < 0.05
