Implementation phase of on-site CKRT dialysate production system. During the implementation phase in December 2021 and January 2022, every morning our hemodialysis staff utilized two IHD machines in our pediatric hemodialysis unit to generate bags of CKRT dialysate (A). We developed a process for distributing the bags throughout our adult ICUs and a labeling system using colored tape and stickers to assist in tracking our inventory and to allow us to track the production date and time and the IHD machine of origin for every bag of dialysate produced (B).
