Results of all venous and arterial blood gas analyses, including pH, pCO2, and current bicarbonate levels, in relation to the survival endpoint. Significant differences were observed for the following variables: venous pH at the time of clinical AKI diagnosis (D), venous bicarbonate at the time of AKI diagnosis (F), arterial pH at initial presentation (G), arterial pCO2 at presentation (H), as well as arterial pH and pCO2 at the time of AKI diagnosis (J and K) (the dashed rectangles indicate comparisons with statistical significance; results as median ± IQR)
